In Paraguay, Nationality by Naturalization is a concession granted by the State through the Supreme Court of Justice.

Legal Requirements for Naturalization (Art. 148 CNP)
To apply for Nationality by Naturalization, the law requires:

Basic Requirements:

Be of legal age.

Have resided for a minimum of three continuous years in Paraguay starting from the date of obtaining permanent residency.

Engage in a profession, trade, science, art, or industry within the country.

Provide proof of good conduct.
Exceptions:
The Supreme Court of Justice may disregard the requirement of continuous residence when it deems so at its sole discretion, if the applicant’s professional activity and/or personal qualities justify the granting of Paraguayan nationality.

The Certified photocopies must be translated by a certified translator CSJ (if are not in Spanish).

Properly legalized birth certificate (authenticated copy)

Criminal record certificate (from the country of origin, authenticated copy, legalized)

Immigrant card, permanent admission.

Certificate of life and residence (from the police station in the area where one resides).
